UL 2054 CERTIFICATION
UL 2054 Standard
UL 2054 CERTIFICATION
These American standards cover portable primary (non-rechargeable) and secondary (rechargeable) batteries used as a power source in a product and are intended to reduce the risk of fire or explosion when batteries are used in a product.
UL 2054 certification is intended to cover batteries in general use, which does not include the combination of the battery in its host equipment. This in turn must be covered by the requirements governing its application. UL standards are also intended to reduce the risk of injury to persons through fire or explosion when batteries are transported, stored or disposed of, once removed from the application. The UL 2054 standard does not cover toxic risks resulting in ingestion of a battery or its contents, nor the risk of injury to persons that occurs in the instance of a battery being cut open to reveal its contents.
Enix Power Solutions offers Certified Body Testing Laboratories located in Europe and Asia for manufacturers requiring UL certification. In order to perform the tests required by UL standards, it is necessary to provide samples.
